AL QAEDA WARNS OF IMPENDING SHOCKING ATTACK WHICH AT THIS STAGE WOULD BE ANY KIND OF ATTACK

Washington, D.C. – Though the War on Terror, despite it no longer being called that, has cost billions of dollars and likely hundreds of thousands of lives, it has been mostly successful. The world has turned against terror, for the most part, and most groups that conduct terror have been driven to the margins, largely unable to do anything effectively.
That is perhaps best seen in the proactive actions being taken in Mali right now. Fully recognizing the potential for trouble, the world decided to step up and engage the problem before it got too bad and took the lives of innocent people.
Still, terror is not dead and likely will never be. Terrorism in one form or another has been around for as long as human beings have and will never full vanish. That is true of future terror groups and likely true of the most famous on, Al Qaeda, who started all this fighting and has suffered the most in it. Now though the group has made it clear they are not dead and are actually in the planning stages of a ‘shocking’ attack, though the only shock would be that they actually did something.
“The answer for it, in short: The coming strikes by al Qaeda, with God’s Might, will be in the heart of the land of non-belief, America, and in France, Denmark, other countries in Europe, in the countries that helped and are helping France, and in other places that shall be named by al Qaeda at other times. The attacks will be strong, serious, alarming, earth-shattering, shocking and terrifying,” said the organization in statement.
While the U.S. and France make sense, it’s not clear what problems Al Qaeda, or anyone, has with Denmark.
It’s believed likely that the statement will effectively negate the attack, if it was ever going to happen in the first place.
“Al Qaeda really had a great opportunity following 9/11. If they had followed that up with real action, perhaps even the next day started to conduct fresh terror attacks across the United States they might have had something. That would have sent the country into a panic but they didn’t, they blew that chance,” said Scrape TV Terrorism analyst Doug Davids. “It could be argued that their efforts did force the world to spend a ton of money trying to defeat them and that that is a terror strike unto itself but marginal at best. That’s a tough argument to make really.”
France seems to be a particular target because of their actions in Mali.
“Al Qaeda, at least in the form that we once knew it, basically doesn’t exist anymore. They may insist otherwise but they are dreaming, fantasizing to be honest. There have been a few hits here and there since 9/11 but all pretty small and really not impactful at all. They just served to strengthen the world’s resolve. No one is terrified of them anymore,” continued Davids. “That’s an essential component to terrorism, that people be terrified and that just isn’t the case anymore. Al Qaeda is a bit of a clown organization now. The only shocking thing would be them actually pulling something off and that, well, don’t expect to be surprised.”
U.S. officials basically just blew off the comments because, well, why wouldn’t they?
