BRAD PITT CALLS OUT HIS MOTHER FOR GOING AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE MAKING FOR AN AWKWARD THANKSGIVING

Los Angeles, CA – Many celebrities wade into the political pool on a regular basis, using their fame and fortune to highlight causes they believe in. It’s one of the privileges of being rich and famous and though many celebrities end up having the same basic thoughts as everyone else – that is pretty flawed – at least they are using their fame for something bigger than themselves.
Brad Pitt has rarely done that. Despite being one of the biggest stars in the world he has largely stayed out of the political game. There have been moments to be sure but all in all, particularly considering the degree of fame he has, Pitt has stayed quiet.
His mother, though, is a different story. Jane Pitt, earlier this year, came out in support of Mitt Romney and against gay marriage, the latter one of the few issues her son has gone public about, supporting it fully. Those comments, from Mom, ignited a firestorm of controversy for the actor which he mostly stayed out of, until now, essentially throwing his mother under the bus and dismissing everything she said because, well, she’s an old, out-of-touch lady who should probably just shut her mouth.
“I am an Obama supporter and I’m backing his election campaign. Gay marriage is inevitable. The next generation, they get it. It is just a matter of time before it becomes a reality,” said Pitt while promoting his new movie.
Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie have vowed in the past to not marry until gay people are also allowed to marry across the country.
Jane Pitt has not used her son’s fame and fortune to respond to his comments but that is likely going to come at any time.
“It’s kind of funny that Pitt hasn’t been more vocal. He’s a part of that group of guys – guys like George Clooney and Matt Damon – who are very active politically, they are all buddies, but he has stayed pretty quiet for the most part. It’s funny but then again Brad Pitt doesn’t necessarily seem the most insightful of people on the planet,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “That doesn’t mean he’s dumb, just not a thinker. Clearly he’s smart enough to know his limits. He’s clearly a caring guy and passionate but I guess just not enough to be openly and active about politics.”
Brad Pitt also apparently really likes puppies and kittens, he thinks they’re cute.
“I have to say though that he has clearly stepped up in this case. This is obviously something he is very passionate about, so much so that he will go against his mother in public. I mean it is his fame to trade on so that’s really kind of reasonable, I mean he isn’t using his son’s fame to use as a political platform like dear old mom did, but still, awkward especially with the holidays coming up,” continued Temple. “It’s going to be an exciting time at the Pitt family table I can tell you that, what with Pitt bringing all his gay married friends and his mother presumably poisoning the turkey. Awwwwkward.”
Jane Pitt, it’s believed, has been told by her son to keep her damn fool mouth shut before he shuts it for her or something along those lines.
