DENTED HEAD MAY SIDELINE TILA TEQUILA’S NOBEL ASPIRATIONS
February 16 2010
Los Angeles, CA – Of all the unique things that make human beings so different from the other animals on the planet it is our brain above everything that truly sets us aside. While science is still at the very early stages of understanding what exactly it is
that makes our brain so different, both in physical makeup and in its ability to imbue us with consciousness, what we do know only tantalizes with what else might be lying deep inside those folds of tissue.
Other clues to the potential of the human brain also lie not in the tissue that composes it, but also in the expression it is capable of in certain individuals. Mad men like Stalin and Hitler, scientists like Einstein and Hawking, and artists like Picasso and Shakespeare all speak to the upper limits of the human mind. There is though another class of genius that even these great minds were not able to achieve, a class so unique that only a handful have ever lived, the polymath. Names such as Pythagoras, Aristotle, Archimedes, da Vinci, Franklin, and Cocteau are a few of those rare individuals whose genius spans multiple fields, and who change the course
of history forever. With a growing population inevitably more such genius’ will emerge, pushing the limits of the human mind and human experience. Unfortunately, one such individual suffered a fall, potentially sidelining her efforts to change the world.
“F**k i just fell off of my chair, slammed my head into the wall and heard the back of my skull crack. theres a dent in it now! I should call the ambulance just in case? like that one actress that died cuz she hit her head &thought she was ok but died later..pray 4 me,” tweeted celebrity polymath Tila Tequila on Friday. “Ambulance on the way to my house. I could have a brain concussion and die ina few hours.”
Tequila was admitted to hospital, treated for a concussion, and released with medication and directions to get plenty of bed rest. It’s not clear what the long term impact of the concussion, or the dent might be, but many are concerned that her long term ambitions and Nobel aspirations might have been permanently sidelined.
“It’s rare that we see true polymaths. True, recently we have been seeing more with at least four in the twentieth century, but they are still incredibly rare and we need to nurture them whenever and wherever they appear. That’s why this story about Tequila is so disturbing,” said Scrape TV Psychology analyst Dr. Sarah Welp. “Whether it’s acting, music, poetry, modelling, business, or even her web work it’s very clear that Tequila is equipped with that special something that so few individuals have and all that may possibly have been derailed by this accident, which would be a serious loss for all humanity.”
Doctors recommend seeking medical treatment following any head injury, no matter how minor. Because of the delicate nature of the brain, even small injuries can lead to long term health issues.
“Tequila is still young and in many ways just getting started in the world at large. There are many fields that she has not yet had the time to master but given enough time, she very well could, that is unless she did more damage than it first appears she did. I guess we will just have to wait and see,” continued Welp. “Hopefully someday we will see her on a stage in Stockholm in the not too distant future. It would be a shame to have human progress inhibited because of a faulty chair leg.”
Tequila will be well enough to make her Australian tour starting in a few days.
