NORTH KOREA FINALLY MAKES SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS WITH THEIR NUCLEAR REACTORS

September 1 2012

Vienna, Austria – Over the last year or so there has been a lot of chatter and a lot of concern about the growing threat that could be contained within the Iranian nuclear program. Despite insistence from Iran, and despite intelligence from both the United State and Israel that the country is indeed telling the truth, most people just assume the country is seeking nuclear weapons not just energy production.iran nulcear plant

Should such a thing happen it would undoubtedly upset the balance of power in the region and forever change the destiny of the Iranian people, whether or not they actually used the weapons against anyone.

Perhaps the example that concerns many people is one nuclear program closely connected both physically and ideologically to the Iranian program, the one in North Korea. That nuclear program which is, at best , obscure has been a concern for a decade or more but despite the concerns and the omnipresent threat North Korea does represent for many of her neighbours has simply not received the degree of attention Iran has done. That could all change though after the IAEA announced that the country had finally made significant progress in advancing their reactors, reactors they could easily use as a stepping stone for advancing their weapons program and ultimately destroying the world.

“Certain activities have been observed at locations where the country has reportedly conducted nuclear tests in the past. Without access to the locations the agency is unable to provide a technical assessment of the purpose of these activities or of whether nuclear material is being used,” said the IAEA in its annual report.north korea nukes

The vagueness of that information can only lead to the conclusion that the IAEA really doesn’t know what North Korea is doing at all and is just kind of guessing.

Unlike Iran, North Korea has never claimed that their program is solely for peaceful purposes and no one has ever believed that such a thing was even in the cards.

“Iran right now is obviously the big name on the nuclear table but North Korea obviously doesn’t want anyone to forget about them. I mean it has to be distressing considering all the help North Korea has given Iran that no one is talking about them anymore but I’m sure they can bring it back and in short order,” said Scrape TV Atomic analyst Mikhail Simpson. “North Korea is probably much further along in their program and could easily have weapons in no time if they don’t already. I mean no one really knows even though that is something we really should know because it’s nuclear weapons and all.”

“Obviously if North Korea gets nukes, provided they don’t have them already, they could prove very troublesome for a lot of people but in the end they are very much cowards, they lack conviction, and that means they aren’t a real threat like Iran which is kind of crazy,” continued Simpson. “North Korea is like crazy crazy, like boobyhatch crazy but Iran is religious crazy and those kinds of folks tend to do things, bad things that no one likes and so they have to remain the big threat. Plus North Korea is only threatening South Korea not Israel which is the most important country on the planet.”

South Korean officials are said to be agitated by the news but won’t be doing anything about it.
