OFFICIALS NOW BELIEVE LIBYAN EMBASSY ATTACK WAS PLANNED OR AT LEAST THEY WOULD PREFER IT THAT WAY
September 12 2012
Washington, D.C. – Officials in Washington are investigating the details of today’s attack on the U.S. Embassy in Libya and now believe that the attack may have been a coordinated terror assault and not, as was initially believed, the result of protests gone out of control.
Evidence, they say, of a more focussed and planned attack has started to emerge leading intelligence officials to gain more confidence that the assault – and the deaths of four workers including ambassador Chris Stevens – was a result of a concentrated assault and not simply unrest in the country.
While the exact nature of the attack and the identities of the attackers has not been made clear yet it is believed very possible, even likely, that it was conducted by Gaddafi loyalists who are clearly still upset that their guy was deposed and murdered in the street like a dog. At the very least those suspicions are like to be the officials line because that’s the way the U.S. would prefer the story to go and it was their guy who was killed after all.
“You may have had a situation that deteriorated so rapidly that a snap decision was made to load up the ambassador, and 'let's get the hell out of dodge,' and they just vacated and ran into a situation where you had a perimeter set up and RPGs were fired into the limo as it was departing,” said former Ambassador Fred Burton.
Stevens and his staff were killed in the assault which started late last night.
RPG’s are unusual gear for protestors to have, even in Libya, which is what has led to the assumption that the attackers may have been militants.
Some have speculated that Al Qaeda may have been involved because they are like the go-to in these types of things.
“It makes sense for so many reasons that this would have been a planned and articulated attack and not just a bunch of guys going crazy and killing folks because they got too worked up. It just seems like something like that and now intelligence officials are essentially confirming that it seems to have been the case, at least from their perspective and that is so much better,” said Scrape TV International Conflict analyst Mario Martinez. “That’s what you want, real defined bad guys. The last thing you want is a nation out of control. You want bad guys doing bad things because it is so much easier to pin the blame in situations like that, so much easier and this situation seems to have worked out that way for the Yanks.”
Thus far no one has actually claimed responsibility because they are all cowards, terrorist usually are cowards.
“If this is a terror attack then clearly it is an isolated incident that can be dealt with in a direct and effective manner but if it is a sign of civil unrest in the nation, that is something much more difficult to deal with and will be a much more significant political issue going forward, at least so far as Libya is concerned,” continued Martinez. “Luckily it looks like it was just regular bad guys rather than just folks getting all worked up. Those guys are easy to kill and explain away, thankfully.”
Thus far, no one has been arrested or killed in connection to the assault.
