OBAMA ADMITS HE WAS BLACK BEFORE THE ELECTION
September 22 2009
New York, NY – The issue of race has long been one of the most damning and redeeming aspects of American culture. Like democracy, race has helped to define the worst and best aspects of the most powerful nation the world has ever seen. With

the dominant economy of the country built largely on the foundations of slavery race, both the divisions between them and the collision of them, has been the engine that has driven the country to its legendary success. That of course is no better exemplified than in the election of Barack Obama to the Presidency of the country.
Both controversial and heartfelt, Obama’s rise to the most powerful position in world has been one more compelling chapter in the long story of race in the United States, something not lost on the man himself as he revealed to David Letterman on Monday night. His appearance on the late night show, one of many in a whirlwind tour of New York, provided a new insight into the new President and brought new revelations from the man. Chief among those revelations is that fact that President Obama was in fact black previous to the election and in fact has been a black man his entire life.
“I think it's important to realize that I was actually black before the election and so the American people gave me this extraordinary honor and that tells you I think a lot about where the country’s at,” said Obama to Letterman, prompting the host to question how long he has been a black man, a question the President ignored causing most to assume that he has indeed been black his entire life.
“Race is without a doubt a defining characteristic of the American experience. Race, directly and indirectly, helped shape the country in its early days and continues to affect it to this day. Of course how it has affected life in the country has fundamentally
changed but the influence remains and is fundamental,” said Scrape TV Racism analyst

Drake Douglas. “There was a time of course when being black meant picking cotton and now you can be President but regardless of how it affects the country, it affects it profoundly and that is something that will never change as long as the country stands.”
It’s not clear how long the country will remain a viable entity. It is currently well behind other nations such as England, Germany, and China for longevity.
“It may surprise a lot of people but the careful observer always knew that Barack Obama was black. It was very clear before the election that he indeed was a black man and was even a significant talking point throughout the election process,” continued Douglas. “Unfortunately the way American society is today many people simply don’t pay attention to things carefully enough, they simply move with the masses. No one knows for sure how race may have played a role in Obama’s election because clearly many people didn’t realize that he was in fact black.”
Though people like Michael Jackson have made significant advances in becoming white going in the opposite direction has traditionally had limited success.
“If you looks at pictures of Obama from before the election and even some older pictures from when he was in high school it’s very clear that he has been black for a very long time and more than likely his entire life,” continued Douglas. “Skin darkening has rarely been successful, just ask George Hamilton, and so that it makes it very unlikely that Obama would have undergone such a procedure. His skin appears naturally black and it is very evident to any rational person that has indeed been black all along and likely will continue to be in the future.”
It’s not clear how this revelation might affect Obama’s re-election hopes in 2012.
