OBAMA SLIGHTLY INJURED AFTER BOW TO ROOM SERVICE RESULTS IN FALL

November 18 2009

Beijing, China – President Obama has made it his mission thus far in his Presidency to engage all comers, both friend and foe. That policy has drawn a great deal of criticism from conservatives and a great deal of concern from liberals, with both sides obama bowing king abdullah
keenly aware of his sagging approval ratings. That criticism has come a head once again this week after the President was snapped bowing before Emperor Akhito, a pose that brought to mind a similar incident involving King Abdul Aziz earlier this year in Saudi Arabia and for many represented a devaluing of American hegemony.

That criticism and concern is likely to escalate after news started to leak out of a small injury to the President during his stay in Beijing. According to reports the President is not sporting a small bruise on his forehead after tumbling forward after bowing a little too far for a room service attendant. The fall was likely a result of the growing fatigue on the obama hand to head
President’s lower back, something his doctors have been treating for weeks, and which may keep him out of action for the foreseeable future. Thus far though the President plans to maintain all his scheduled appearances and will continue to bow no matter who he meets.

“The President has shown a great deal of irresponsibility with the American persona abroad and this is evidence that he has gone too far. With this fall the President looks even more foolish and makes out country look even weaker. While the bump on his head will heal, the damage that he has done to the United States will never do the same,” said conservative pundit Gary King. “The President must realize that the damage he is doing is not to himself but to the country. He is the United States when abroad and he must behave accordingly. Add to that the fact that the President has now injured himself and may not be able to do the job we pay him to do properly. This has gotten far out of hand.”

Reportedly, the President was given a cold compress by Chinese medical personnel, something traditionally seen as a sign of weakness in Asian culture.

“I don’t think anyone can underestimate the power that Obama has and I think sometimes he does himself. Of course he is the President so he has to be above a lot room service
of that criticism and do what he thinks is right for the country and apparently showing deference to royalty is something that he believes in. Of course that now appears to have extended to ordinary people and may actually be risking the security of the United States,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “I think there’s very little merit in the argument that bowing shows weakness and that such appearances give enemies of the United States more power, but this incident may illustrate an actual weakness that potential enemies might be able to exploit. Now they would need to try and assassinate the President, they just need to show up and he will fall all over himself to appease them.”

Obama is reportedly started to wear a brace to secure his lower back in order to aid in bowing and has not yet moved towards muscle relaxants or other drugs. He was apparently not wearing the brace during the room service incident.woman falling down

“This is one area where the President’s critics may be right. If he injures himself more severely, something entirely possible with the repetitive motion involved with constantly bowing, then he will be unable to do his job and will have to pass it on to Biden which of course could damn the country,” continued Hander. “There may of course be a psychological component to this whole thing. He has grown so used to bowing before world leaders that it may just now be a part of his natural behaviour. He may be bowing to his family, bowing to his staff, bowing to his dog. If that is the case then he truly does need some help, for the good of the country.”

The President is expected to make a full recovery, physically at least.
