KARDASHIAN FAMILY MAY CUT OFF RELATIONS WITH WASHINGTON AFTER SNUB
October 21 2011
Hollywood, CA – There have been occasions when words more than anything have created serious problems in the world. True, most wars begin with actions but the groundwork for those actions can, quite frequently, begin with a conversation, an argument, or a snub, the type of snub the Obama family has apparently delivered to Kardashians.
At issue is an interview with Michelle Obama in which she discussed raising her daughters in the spotlight, offhandedly remarking that both she and her husband did not like their children exposed to people like the Kardashians, something which is not sitting well with the ever more powerful family.
“Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians — when they watch that stuff — he doesn’t like that as much but I sort of feel like if we’re talking about it, and I’m more concerned with how they take it in — what did you learn when you watched that. And if they’re learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I’m like, okay,” Obama told iVillage
Khloe Kardashian reported that the President personally told her he liked her show last year. It’s believed likely that Obama says that to every guest and may not even know who they are, but that endorsement had been taken seriously by the family, in particular matriarch Kris Jenner.
The Kardashians have not officially commented on the First Lady’s assessment of their show, but insiders say they are okay with the statement, though that may very well be politics.
“It’s actually very surprising that Michelle Obama would be so candid with something like that, especially at this stage in the campaign season. The last thing Obama needs at this stage is to give more ammo to his critics. His popularity is already incredibly low,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “This statement, unto itself, may not cause a problem but the Kardashians have only been growing in power and influence over the last few years and there is no reason to assume that will change. Kris Jenner now wields a lot of power and you can bet she is not going to let something like this rest.”
Aside from the Kardashian sisters, Jenner’s two daughters from her second marriage have also started to become more and more prominent making the whole clan into a multi-million dollar business across multiple platforms.
“The Kardashians have not stepped into politics, yet, but you can guess that it is an area that they will consider. They are into TV, sports, modelling, perfume, and even credit cards so it is not a stretch to assume that they will make moves into new areas like politics,” continued Kinsey. “That will be especially true if Republican candidates smell blood in the water. You won’t likely see a Kardashian on the ticket come 2012, but you may well see them out there on the campaign trail and that could be a death blow to Obama. It is possible that Kris Jenner holds the future election in her hands, and right now it doesn’t appear she is going to push for a Democrat. This could be political suicide on a legendary scale.”
Bruce Jenner, Kris’ husband, is registered Republican and is reportedly furious at the comments despite not being able to change his facial expression.
