OBAMA TAKING GUNS AWAY ON WEDNESDAY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS
January 15 2013
Washington, D.C. – No matter what President Obama and his administration do, there will always be a gun issue in the United States. The concern right now is not, of course, whether or not people will continue to complain about guns but whether or not they will continue to use them against their fellow citizens.
That has been another issue entirely and one that the Obama Administration has taken on full bore since the shooting in Connecticut. That event capped off a brutal and tragic year of violence in the country that saw no less than three mass shootings and increasing levels of gun violence in major cities, including Obama’s hometown of Chicago.
The gun control issue is of course very touchy one for people in the United States but clearly the administration has decided that this is no longer an issue that can be ignored, or apparently debated. Tomorrow President Obama will apparently unveil a sweeping plan related to gun control, some of which he will put into place with his Executive Order, something no one can do anything about really except open their big fat mouths.
“I will not get ahead of the president in terms of what his package of proposals will include. I will simply note that the president has made clear that he intends to take a comprehensive approach,” said White House spokesperson Jay Carney.
Carney admitted that there are limits, frustrating limits, to what the President can do with his Executive power which means that not every gun will be taken away.
Rumours indicate the new laws will at least restrict some automatic firearms and the size of magazines, which will limit the number of bullets that can be fired.
“This is not going to be popular, that’s for sure, especially with the Republicans but clear Obama has had enough of trying to work deals with them. All that has been is trouble from the start and now he is just going to bypass the debate entirely, something which could make them a little upset that they wasted all the good will with silly stuff,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “This is apparently going to happen though and nothing anyone can say will stop it at this stage. There are probably other things that will never pass because the Executive action will anger Republicans but at least some if better than none especially when it comes to things that people use to kill little kids.”
VP Joe Biden has been working to come up with some plan to deal with the issue and this is apparently going to be it.
“This could change things or change nothing at all. I mean Americans clearly love guns and they love shooting them at things, even if it’s at other people. That passion for killing things is not going to change overnight but, perhaps, this will be the start of a new way of thinking,” continued Kinsey. “Of course a lot of people are just going to hate the President more than they already do so that will not help a single thing. I mean he is trying to help stop kids from dying, not take away their freedom. Seriously, that’s really what he wants and he’s unlikely to get that even with this.”
Obama will speak to the press on Wednesday.
