JERRY SANDUSKY WAY MORE UPSET ABOUT PENN STATE SANCTIONS THAN ALL THOSE CHILDREN HE MOLESTED
August 3 2012
Harrisburg, PA – For most people, the horror of the crimes committed at Penn State by disgraced ex-coach Jerry Sandusky are at an end. Sandusky has been tried and convicted, Joe Paterno has died, and the school has been levied with a host of sanctions and punishments for their role in covering up the abuse.
The trauma will of course live on for people directly affected by the actions of Sandusky. The victims, their friends and family, and of course Sandusky himself who will likely never step foot outside of prison again will all suffer for years. However there are many who have nothing to do with the abuse who will also suffer, all the athletes and students at Penn State.
It is they who are the latest victims of Sandusky and though they will not suffer nearly as much as the people he molested, they will still suffer. For them, and for the school which gave him so much, Sandusky is mourning. According to his lawyer, Sandusky is very upset over the sanctions levied at his former employer/playground and really wishes that he could undo some of that damage, though of course doesn’t really regret molesting all those children.
“He said, 'To do what they're doing to Penn State is so unjust. He loves the program and he loves the university,” said lawyer Joe Amendola. “He continues to believe that the truth will come out at some point, and that he'll get another trial or another opportunity to establish his innocence.”
Sandusky is reportedly working on a statement that he believes will completely exonerate from all the convictions he has.
He presumably also believes that it will free his former employer from the sanctions levied against him and possibly even pave the way for his return to the school.
“I’m pretty sure that as Jerry Sandusky was raping all those children in the showers the last thing that was on his mind was that this could eventually result in the school being punished, and punished severely as it has been. I’m sure it never even entered his head, standing under that hot stream of water, but this is what his actions have wrought,” said Scrape TV Sports analyst Mark Marvins. “I sincerely doubt that even if he thought something like that would have happened that would have stopped him. Heck, a child screaming in pain didn’t stop him so why would something like that but clearly he has some regrets now.”
Sandusky has not abused any children since being put in jail as children are usually put in different jails than adults to prevent that very thing.
“One day Sandusky might admit, at least to himself, his guilt but that isn’t going to do anything to resolve the many issues he has created for his victims. He doesn’t seem to care much about that of course but clearly there is something he does care about and that isn’t going to change either,” continued Marvins. “Unless he develops a time machine and goes back and stops his former self from abusing all those children there isn’t anything he can do, really. And frankly, even if he somehow created a time machine while in prison he would probably just go back and join in again, get a second helping which wouldn’t do much for the school.”
It’s not believed that anyone has raped children at the school since the sanctions were enacted.
