OBAMA TARGETING NASCAR WITH LATEST ECONOMIC ATTACKS
May 16 2012
Charlotte, N.C. – For years, people across the United States have loved watching cars drive around in circles. Auto racing has been, from the very start, a passion for many people in the United States, tied deeply to the connection the nation has to the automobile itself, and in recent years that connection has only grown stronger.
That has been seen with particular vigour in NASCAR which has steadily risen in the ranks of the auto racing hierarchy from a back water, hillbilly organization to one of the biggest sports in the country, inside or outside car racing circles, so-to-speak. NASCAR is where it has been for years, but apparently that reign at the top is starting to come to an end.
The economic downturn across the country has certainly impacted many recreational events and NASCAR is no different. According to a new think tank study, the sport has seen a steady decline in attendance, dropping to below 4 million per race on average. While a number of factors are have contributed to decline, it appears, according to the study, that the biggest has been the President and his passionate desire to kill the sport beloved by so many Americans probably because he hates them and hates America.
“At the end of the day, these numbers really hit NASCAR fans’ quality of life. The days of $25 million sponsorship deals appears to be over for the time being, sending teams scrambling for support,” read the report, which didn’t specifically point out Obama as the cause of all the problems but strongly insinuated.
Since taking office in early 2009, about the time the attendance started to drop, Obama has not completely restored the economy to its former glory.
It’s not exactly clear why Obama hates NASCAR so much, but growing up in the Midwest it is likely that he would be fan of IndyCar if he even likes auto racing at all.
“In this economy all sports have suffered to various degrees but it makes sense that racing has been the most negatively affected. Cars are expensive to maintain, gas is expensive, and they charge way too much money for souvenirs and so people have no choice but to pull back. Couple that with increased costs and it’s a disaster for NASCAR,” said Scrape TV Sports analyst Mark Marvins. “Clearly Obama’s plan to destroy the sport is working, though to what end he is doing this is still a big question. I personally can’t see any valid reason for wanting to put an end to NASCAR aside from it being kind of stupid and white trashy, andit hardly seems like the war the President should be waging.”
Other sports have also seen declines, due in large part to people having less money to spend.
“We have no evidence that Obama is directly targeting NASCAR of course but clearly he hasn’t done the things to fix the economy that would allow for the sport to remain successful and to make even more money. If he fixed the economy, things would be fine but he didn’t because he obviously hates NASCAR and the fans,” continued Marvins. “Luckily that won’t really affect him come election time because I doubt a single Liberal has even seen a NASCAR race so politically it’s fine, but it’s still not great that the President is trying to eliminate certain sports. It’s just not what he should be doing.”
Obama has also apparently started to assault turkey wrasslin’ which has seen declines recently as well.
