GOOGLE TO RELEASE THEIR OWN VERSION OF SKYNET

Mountain View, CA - Arguably, Google is the most important and influential web companies ever. True, they were not the first big company. True, they simply improved on existing concepts. True, other companies laid the path that allowed
Google to succeed. Despite all of that, Google’s success and dominance over so much 
of the web-based world means that their footprint over the format is huge, and that footprint has paved the way for the growth of the web in general, popularizing the medium and allowing other companies to flourish.
Of course Google’s reach doesn’t just extend to their primary product, search. Google maps, video, news, Chrome, and Gmail are just a few examples of the massive product line the company offers web users, mostly free of charge, spreading their tentacles further across the medium. The company has of course never been known for resting on their laurels, something the

Essentially it’s a learning version of the web that will be able to take all kinds of information, process it, and understand not only what it says, but what it means,” said an anonymous insider for the company. “We will then be able to essentially create a massive hive mind that spreads across the planet. We can then give it control of systems that human beings find tedious, dangerous, or too costly to do themselves. It will be able to improve human productivity at an incredible level and free us from the confines of the day to day mundane tasks that make up the majority of the working world. Skynet will just do it for us while we sit around and watch TV.”
Skynet is not the official name for the product. Reportedly, many at Google are not in favour of the name because of the connection to the depiction of the end of humanity, though Google heads Sergey Brin and Larry Page apparently want the title for exactly that reason.
“There’s likely very little chance that the events depicted in the movies will happen in 
the real world. Part of that suspicion is the time frame. We are already years after the destruction as depicted in the movies so that’s already out. There’s also a probability that because of the movies people will be on the lookout for exactly that thing happening,” said Scrape TV Technology analyst Ken Kevins. “I also sincerely doubt that Google would want to see the destruction of the world. After all they rely heavily on adsense and adwords and is humanity was destroyed so too would that revenue stream.”
The majority of Google’s vast wealth, as well as they Wall Street success, comes from revenues drawn from text-based advertising.
“There’s also likely to be serious copyright issues if they were to try and proceed with that name. True, they have tons of money and could probably buy the rights if they were up for sale, but the question is whether or not they would want to. They didn’t get rich spending money,” continued Kevins. “Of course the standing issue is the rise of intelligent machines and subjugation of the human race. Whether in the Terminator films or in Battlestar Galactica such events rarely go over well and companies like Google, the ‘do no evil’ company should keep that in mind before they pursue the destruction of human society.”
Google applied for a trademark notice on ‘Adsense for Skynet’ amongst other filings late last month.
