BOSTON BOMBERS WERE MOSTLY WELFARE BUMS WHICH EXPLAINS NOTHING
April 30 2013
Boston, MA – The details of the lives of the two Boston Marathon bombers – Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev – are probably not all that important. While some details, as in who they may have affiliated with and been influenced by, certainly have some relevance most of what has emerged is really little more than curiosity.
People, when it comes to situations like this, are naturally curious as to what brings a person to the stage at which they commit their crimes. While such knowledge rarely, if ever, actually matters to anyone outside psychologists, it’s still a compelling thing to learn about, about a unique and prominent example of what humans are and can do.
That has very much been the case with the older bomber, the deceased one, Tamerlan who has been the focus of the majority of the attention. Most of that attention is likely owing to the perception, likely an accurate one, that he was the ring leader, the chief motivator behind the attack, and because he had the most to lose. Well, not that much being that he was welfare bum, was until they kicked him out of the program which very well could have sparked the attack, or not.
“The brothers were not receiving transitional assistance benefits at the time of the incident and have not received any transitional assistance benefits this year,” said a spokesperson for the Massachusetts Health and Human Services. “The Tsarnaevs' parents are former recipients of transitional assistance benefits, and both Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev received benefits through their parents when they were younger. Separately, Tamerlan and his family received benefits until 2012, when the family became ineligible based on their income.”
The family received about $100,000 in benefits over a number of years which isn’t bad for doing nothing.
It’s not clear how they started making too much money to stay in the program.
“This is certainly interesting and even more potently is a reminder that these people were very much embedded in the American system and should have been more loyal to the country, much more loyal than they were that day they blew up those bombs and hurt all those people,” said Scrape TV American analyst Dave Davidson. “I mean they really screwed up a good thing with that bombing, really screwed it up. They had all this opportunity living in America and everything and they totally screwed that up. Dummies, really, just dumb.”
The younger brother is severely injured and likely going to prison forever so he is not much better off than his dead brother.
“Of course there is no indication that this was a real terrorist attack. They weren’t really attacking the American ideal or anything like they, they were just criminals really. Ungrateful to be sure, very ungrateful, but not necessarily trying to destroy America or anything like that. Not everyone is trying to destroy America,” continued Davidson. “Some people are, no doubt about that, but not everyone and it does not appear that these guys were doing anything of the sort. It’s most likely they were just knobs and bums just like most other criminals.”
It’s not clear what kind of benefits Dzhokhar will receive in prison but probably plenty.
