HOLOCAUST BELIEVER DENIED MEMBERSHIP IN NEO NAZI GROUP, SUES
September 23 2008
Hillsboro, West Virginia – The White Supremacist group National Alliance has been hit with a discrimination lawsuit by a West Virginian man who claims he was denied membership after proclaiming his belief in the events of the Holocaust.
David Watersly, 23, claims that after a lengthy interview process his membership was denied without an explanation. After contacting a friend in the organization he found that he had been denied membership because of an honest answer during the interview process.
“I said somewhere in an interview that I believed in the holocaust and that’s apparently what got me,” said Watersly from his home in Wheeling. “I learned when I was a teenager interviewing for jobs that it was best to just be honest, and I did that here. Apparently that isn’t rewarded in this case.”
The suit is seeking 2 million dollars in damages from the organization.
“Look, I hate Jews and blacks and Asians just like all the rest of them. And I think I said something like I believed the Holocaust happened and was glad that it did, but guess that was enough for them.”
The National Alliance of one of the largest White supremacist organizations in the United States and boasts membership from countries all over the world. Founded in 1974, the organization at one time was considered the best-financed and organized White Supremacist organization in the country. The group’s membership at one point exceeded 2,500 people. One of whom was Watersly’s father Michael.
“My Dad was a member of the group and I figure that meat I would be cut a little slack, but apparently not,” continued Watersly. “I have always done everything to support the Supremacist movement. I’ve sprayed graffiti, beat down blacks and Jews, I even have my own geocities page. I completely support this country being white only, but because of an innocent little comment, I’m the victim of prejudice.”
While the National Alliance has been the subject of litigation before, this is the first time they have been accused of prejudice towards a white person and the accusations have the organization reeling.
“Our vetting process is thorough and complete,” said Anthony Walker, the group’s lawyer. “I want to make it clear that we have no policies to exclude any individuals if they meet our membership requirements. Being white and hating people is a plus but does not mean you have immediate membership. We have quite strict criteria for our members and not everyone is accepted.”
Walker would not comment on whether or not Watersly was excluded because of his belief in the Holocaust, but did mention that he believed it had been exaggerated. “I’m all for killing Jews and mud people, I just need facts not fantasy before I believe in something.”
Watersly is sure that his suit will successful, but is not resting on the hopes that he will someday be accepted to the group.
“I’ve already started up my own group and we are going to beat down those bastards. They don’t know who they messed with. I hate thos bastards.”
