O.J. SIMPSON CONVICTED ON ALL COUNTS, COMPLETES CLICHE

Las Vegas, NV – Former professional football star O.J. Simpson has been found guilty on twelve charges related to the armed robbery of two memorabilia dealers last year. Simpson faces the possibility of life in prison after successfully living up to the cliché of black people as criminals.
Simpson of course was acquitted of charges that he murdered ex-wife Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman in 1995, a case many felt to be a miscarriage of justice. While some see this recent conviction, which was exactly thirteen years to the date of his previous acquittal, as justice finally realized. Others though see it as the inevitable outcome of the black man in America.
“The common perception of black people in the United States is that they are one step from being criminals. Whether they are doctors or lawyers or teachers there is a perception in the back of many American’s heads that comes to the forefront when something like this happens. They almost come to expect it now,” said Scrape TV American analyst Dave Davidson. “Even with Barack Obama poised to become President the perception remains. People like O.J. only serve to reinforce it and bring down the entire race. Of course you could also look at like try and try again. He gave the legal system his head on a silver platter before and they didn’t take it. Now he got it done. It was a goal line stand and he was stopped a few times, but he finally punched it in for the score. Good on him.”
Amongst other charges the NFL Hall of Famer was convicted of kidnapping and armed robbery. His lawyers plan to appeal the conviction, a process which may take years. In the meantime Simpson will be remanded in custody.
“There of course have been many historical examples of people who had everything and gave it all away because of stupidity or greed or arrogance, but with Simpson it has a special resonance,” continued Davidson. “O.J. in his prime has a beacon for young black men and women. Massive success, money, fame, and he threw it away. Now in the case of the murder, that can be attributed to standard human failing. This robbery, this is just, well, either stupidity or genius whichever way you look at it. Simpson was able to rise way above the expectations that would have been laid out for a young black man in the 60’s and he was able to successfully squander all that success and become a living cliché. At least he was able to live up to everyone’s lowest expectations. It’s very rare that people are able to achieve that in life.”
If given the maximum sentence on the charges, the 61 year old Simpson could receive 30 years in jail, though it is likely that he will receive less time than that.
“O.J. has done exactly what people expect of the black man in America. Get thrown in jail and leave your children without any parents. Kudos to Simpson, he gives all young black men someone to look up to, just as long as they forget about Obama.”
