DALI DRAWING BELIEVED STOLEN WAS JUST LOST IN THE MAIL THE WHOLE TIME
June 30 2012
New York, NY – A rare and precious drawing by master Salvador Dali is back home safe and sound after apparently being stolen and taken to Europe. The drawing, Cartel de Don Juan Tenirio, is believed to be worth in the neighbourhood of $150,000. It was delivered by the USPS and, it is believed, was simply lost in the mail the entire time. There have been no claims of responsibility regarding the theft and no ransom was asked for indicating that the person who had it never intended to keep it. It’s not clear who paid the postage.
