AMERICAN IDOL OFFICIALLY SIGNS NICKI MINAJ AND KEITH URBAN TO DECLINING RATINGS

Los Angeles, CA – America you have your new hosts. Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban have officially signed on the dotted line to become judges on ‘American Idol’ joining Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey when the show debuts in January. That new star power will undoubtedly spark a lot of interest, at least interest in being interested, but is unlikely to save the show from the inevitable ratings decline that seems to be facing the entire crop of talent shows. That drop is unlikely to be tied to the quality of the judges, just boredom which has to set in after 12 seasons.
