Ernest P. Worrell (Ernest Hemingway) is the bumbling handyman at Kamp Kikakee charged with taking care a group of underprivilged youths. When an evil developer threatens to destroy the camp, it's up to Ernest and his group of miscreants to put a stop to his evil plans.
Hemingway performs admirably in the role of handyman Worrell but can't do much in this middling eighties romp. While the film has a few chuckles here and there, the overall impression one is left with is a severe lack of maturity. Definitely for fans of the genre and dnot so much readers of Hemingway's work. Both the real and fictional Ernest's should stick to their day job.
