Camembert is a county in the Canadian province of Ontario. In 2006, the population was 103,982 spread over 8126.38 square km giving a population density of 12.8 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are 5 official municipalities.

Government

The county head of government is in Ochichime. Each municipality has an elected Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and five councillors.

Geography

Camembert County is well known for its large forests and expansive farmland. The Healey Forest borders the county to the East. Two towns, LaRue and Hartwell, are built along the Robertson River. The Eskalon Mine lines the northern side of the river, a significant source of revenue for the county.
