PEDOPHILES WATCHING SLUMDOG STAR SALE INTENTLY
April 19 2009
Mumbai, India – Life in the slums of Mumbai have never been a picnic. The reality of life in Mumbai was brought to the glittering silver screen last year in the hit Oscar winner ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and the success of that movie has brought international attention to the young stars who themselves actually reside in those conditions. Such is the case of 9-year old Rubina Ali who starred as the youngest version of the protagonist Latika who has now been put up for sale by her father.
Much was made of the young stars during the massively successful run of the film especially after their visit to The United States for the Academy Awards and subsequent return to the slums. International attention was first drawn to 10-year old Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail who received a beating from his father in front of cameras. The potential sale of another one of the stars has once again focused attention on the slums and spurred interest from concerned citizens and pedophiles the world over.
“The sale of children is much more common than most people would believe especially in the third world. This particular case has garnered much more attention than it
would normally for obvious reasons but the prevalence of such occurrences is not unknown,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “The real significance of this situation is the sheer dollar amount we are seeing. This could spark a whole new spike in the price of children around the world. Sure, Ali was part of a super successful film, but if this proves successful parents across the slums will be moving into the city to try and get their children at least an appearance in a film to jack the price.”
Mumbai is the home of Bollywood which produces hundreds of movies a year. Normal asking price for an Indian child is about $75,000 but the asking price for Ali quadrupled to nearly $300,000.
“Because of the success of the film there is really no limit on the upward potential for Ali but this might not necessarily spark a massive increase across the board. The
potential here is that the success of Slumdog may spark more foreign productions in India which in turn could result in an escalation of prices. Simply appearing in a
Bollywood movie won’t impact prices significantly because of the limited overseas exposure,” said Scrape TV Business analyst Ken Green. “The real key here is for Hollywood studios to start snapping up any talent they may find in the slums before the films become a hit. They would have a significant advantage over other bidders simply because of the sheer buying power they have which significantly outstretches that of most pedophiles.”
The potential sale has also sparked renewed interest in American child stars who traditionally have had little success on the open market. Many are watching the potential sale of Ali to determine the viability of selling American children, especially in these harsh economic times.
“Very few people realize that Dakota Fanning was on the market for many years but had no bidders. This has been a common occurrence from Shirley Temple up to the modern day but the general assumption was that pedophiles had limited capital and therefore limited opportunity to make such major purchases,” continued Green. “If Ali goes for a high price it will undoubtedly result in a uptick in sales of American children even if they have only small roles in films. The way things are going economically I’m sure many parents would be more than willing to sell their children, especially if they have limited earning potential. It’s really just a matter of how many molestation dollars are out there for the taking. If it proves to be significant, this could help to bring the United States out of this recession.”
Scrape TV News attempted to contact the major studios about their purchases plans but received no response. We also attempted to contact local pedophiles but none were willing to speak on the record.
