HOLLYWOOD OFFICIALS NOT SURE ABOUT GIVING MEGAN FOX MORE ROLES

Hollywood, CA – Hollywood is a town built on overnight success. With thousands of young actors and actresses making their way to the city in an effort to live out their dreams there are very few who even make it to the starting blocks. Of those who do
many enjoy limited success and then fall into the ether. Some though make it and make it huge and often those performers seem to come from nowhere. It is that success that most young performers dream of and that success that very few will ever achieve.

It is that success that Megan Fox has been riding for the last few years with her performances in the massive ‘Transformers’ films. Though Fox had appeared in a number of feature films and television shows prior to her role as Mikaela Banes in the first Transformers film, it was that role which launched her into the superstardom she is now enjoying. A hit on the talk show circuit and in the celebrity blogosphere Fox has become the definition of an overnight success and thought she is riding high at the moment, Hollywood officials are sceptical about her future and more than a few and contemplating whether or not to give her any roles at all.

“Let’s be frank. Actresses in particular can make it big pretty easily but that doesn’t mean they can be in it for the long haul. Stars have a certain something that frankly
so far it doesn’t seem Fox has. She looks good on magazines but even in Hollywood looks will only take you so far. Until we see something interesting from her I think it’s very unlikely anyone is going to want to put a really big movie on her shoulders,” said a Hollywood official who preferred to remain anonymous. “She has a couple more movies coming so we’ll see how that goes but my guess is we won’t see anything really big from her until the next Transformers movie releases.”

Next year’s ‘Jonah Hex’, based on the Marvel comic of the same name is expected to be a big summer hit despite the fact that very people have heard of it before. Outside that Fox has a limited number of roles in the pipeline.

“It would be kind to say that she’s choosing her roles carefully and that’s why we aren’t seeing an abundance of performances coming from her but, well, that likely just isn’t that case. Luckily the last Transformers movie was a
big hit so it’s likely there will be another one in the not too distant future which will give her a break from mulling over roles,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “Unfortunately they won’t be able to make them forever. With the cost and the likelihood of Shia LaBeouf becoming an actual star they simply won’t be able to employ her forever. The best thing for her to do is start pursuing roles more in her realm. Blockbusters are not where she’s going to have a lot of success and continuing to follow those opportunities would be foolhardy.”

Most officials are suggesting a career closer to Shannon Tweed rather than Julia Roberts.

“Softcore porn would really be ideal for Fox. Blockbuster success is a hard thing to
maintain even for people with natural charisma and real acting talent. Considering Fox’s limitations and her attributes, as well as the attitude of her fan base, the Shannon Tweed route might be the perfect thing for her,” continued Temple. “Unfortunately it’s a lot harder to pay the bills that way. Tweed married a super-rich rock-star and Megan Fox is dating Brian Austin Green. He is hardly Gene Simmons and so someone is going to need to be the breadwinner in that family. Unfortunately though unless they get to, say Transformers part 10, it likely won’t be her.”

Fox’s newest movie, ‘Jennifer’s Body’ will feature her partially clad, something many officials expect will help pave the way for future success.
