ANN ROMNEY JUST WANTS CRITICS TO STOP SAYING NASTY THINGS BECAUSE IT’S REAL HARD TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT
September 21 2012
Washington, D.C. – When a person, man or woman, runs for political office their family runs with them whether they like it or not. For the most part, unless there is a wacky or troubled sibling or cousin, that candidacy really only affects the closest family members who are always roped into campaigning.
That is especially true for spouses who are often presented as the answer to any questions unrelated to policy. They are present to show the human side of the candidate, to show what he or she is like at home and as a parent. There is no campaign where that is more valuable than in the run for President of the United States.
As usual, the wives of candidates are out in force stumping for their husbands, trying show the real person behind the politician. For Michelle Obama this is the second go around and so everything is already out there, it’s almost old hat. For Ann Romney, though, the experience is totally new and apparently a little terrifying, so much so that she is asking her Republican critics to let up because the whole thing is so darned hard and she’s trying her best you know so come on, just give her a break.
“Stop it! This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring,” Romney told an Iowa radio station. “This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realise how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.”
Romney made the comments in response to questions which she is really getting tired of of answering over and over again.
Romney also doesn’t appreciate reporters asking questions she hasn’t prepared answers to or that don’t fall right in with the line the campaign is currently running.
“This has been a tough couple of weeks for the Romney campaign and clearly the stress is starting to show. Mitt has had all kinds of gaffes, Paul Ryan has been absent, and Ann is really not helping anything buy running her mouth. This is probably been the worst week the campaign has had yet and that is saying a lot,” said Scrape TV Political analyst Gabriel Kinsey. “It’s really too bad because they seem to have worked awfully hard to get to this point and they really just want people to shut up and listen to the things they have to say and agree with them. That’s all Ann is asking really, just stop having your own opinion.”
Ann Romney, it’s believed, shares her husband’s opinion on everything no matter what it might be at any given moment.
“Clearly they are having trouble, never having done this before and the Romney’s are quite old. It has to be wearing them down this long, long campaign and so of course they are going to get irritable pretty quickly. It’s too bad that they allow that to come out like and of course that reporters are irritating them by asking their own questions, shameful really,” continued Kinsey. “I mean it’s really beyond the pale asking questions like that and then expecting answers to those questions. Terrible and really just another example of how the lamestream media tries to beat down Republicans for having a voice and using their freedom of speech and having straight marriages and non-aborted babies. Shameful.”
Ann Romney apparently got the idea to lash out at the media from her husband because that’s what he preferred.
