STUDY FINDS ATHEISTS MOST HATED MINORITY; ATHEISTS DON’T BELIEVE IT

September 25 2009

Minneapolis, MN – Atheism has existed throughout the history of mankind’s connection with the afterlife. Touching all aspects of human society, from the wealthy to the poor, from the intellectual to the slovenly, Atheism in all its forms has helped atheism symbol
shape the destiny of mankind at least as much as religious belief itself. Despite that influence, Atheism has always been one of the most controversial set of beliefs, precisely because it completely lacks belief, and that trend appears to only grow as religion starts to surge back across the world.

According to recent study conducted by the University of Minnesota, that controversy has only increased in the United States with the majority of Americans hating Atheists more than any other group in the country. Ranking well above Muslims, Jews, and Homosexuals close to half of Americans either mistrust or outright hate people lacking religious belief. Though most studies indicate such hatred is largely and American phenomenon many in the Atheist community are disputing the results with more than a few indicating their belief that the study may not have been conducted at all.

“We fully realize, and have for years, that many people in the United States hold a richard dawkins
great of religious belief and that we in a lot of ways threaten that. As a result our set of lack of beliefs can create a lot of anger throughout the country and cause a great deal of discomfort for both religious and atheistic people alike,” said a spokesperson for American Atheists. “Our concern is the nature and the veracity of this particular study. While the results may or may not reflect the nature of American society there is no evidence to suggest that this study actually took place. Yes, we have the physical documentation but that does not mean it is a result of a study. Simply put someone at the University could have made up the entire thing and simply put it forward hoping that people will take it at face value. We do not want people one either side to simply accept this study as fact based on their gut feelings.”

Conducted by three researchers at the University the study was completed a number of years ago but only come to light of late, causing many critics to raise concerns over possible tampering of the document.bible

“I can assure you that this study was conducted with the utmost integrity and verifiable methods. Despite what some people believe we do not simply create data to justify out conclusions. Not only would that be illicit and unethical it is unprofessional and would gain us little in the area of respectability,” said lead researcher Penny Edgell. “This information was passed to us by our survey team and we composed it into the research paper. That is the way these types of documents are created. We stand by our work 100 per cent and will no matter what anyone believes.”

Representatives for the University had no comment on the situation but stated that they have ‘total faith in our researchers and professors'.

“It’s only natural to be sceptical of such a report simply because of the nature of American society. Until recently much of American prejudice has been based on race god
and ethnicity and had little or nothing to do with religious belief or lack thereof. Even in the modern era where Islam has a lot of strikes against it very few people in the country have a problem with the religion and simply exercise their hatred against people with darker skin,” said Scrape TV Racism analyst Drake Douglas. “That makes the study a little difficult to believe and one has to assume that perhaps the people behind it had other motivations. Such an action could be designed to stir up sympathy for Atheists or could be used to encourage more Americans to join the fight against the rising tide of non-theism. Either way people are going to see the study however they see it and there’s little anyone can do to change their minds.”

Religious people reportedly believe the study though very few admit to having read it.
